Funding

Don’t miss out on £200 of event funding for your venue!

We are offering grants to venues who are looking to run events to encourage underrepresented groups into tennis or padel. If you are planning events along these lines, you could receive up to £200 in grant funding to help bring your ideas to life in 2026!

We are celebrating 50 years of Wheelchair tennis so could your club host an event to mark this milestone? Maybe you are trying to encourage more women and girls into tennis and padel, or those with disabilities or from ethnically diverse backgrounds. You could also consider celebrating and supporting key moments in the EDI calendar holding events within this timetable, while growing your club and community.

LTA Funding

The LTA’s Facility Loan Scheme supports venues to expand their facilities, prioritising the installation and construction of covered courts. Please read more about this loan scheme and how to apply below.

Tennis Sussex Loans

Tennis Sussex can consider offering small loans to charity or corporate tennis clubs depending on the nature of the request. Please email office@tennissussex.com if you would like to be considered for such a loan providing information for what purpose and what you have already done to try to raise money. We will then ask for further details including accounts and club structure before considering if we are able to help with funding.

Other Ideas on Fundraising

Sport England

In April 2024 Sport England launched their Movement Fund, designed to streamline the process of applying for funding from Sport England.

In the years before the Movement Fund, they had a series of other funds, with similar offerings, that have since been closed and condensed into the single Movement Fund – simplifying the process for those seeking support.

The £160 million fund offers crowdfunding pledges, grants – of up to £15,000 – and resources to help projects that encourage active lifestyles and create enriching experiences for local communities.

Sport England especially want to support projects that give opportunities to groups of people who typically haven’t had as many chances to be active.

Other Possibilities

Active Sussex have a page on their website which summarises other funding streams which may be helpful.

EDI Courses

EDI

The LTA published its Inclusion strategy for tennis in Britain in 2021, with an ambition to lead the way on inclusion and diversity in sport.

We hope you share in our vision to be truly open to all, no matter your background, disability, age, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation or race and ethnicity. This will only be fully achieved when every person’s experience of tennis, in all tennis environments, makes them feel like they belong.

Click on the link below to view pages which will help to support you in your role to understand the barriers that prevent people from participating in tennis and help your venue be as truly inclusive as you can be. Please also see the tab on courses which lists many EDI courses that you can undertake to improve your understanding on EDI and inclusion within venues.
