Environmental sustainability is becoming an increasing important subject and it’s crucial in the tennis community that we consider our environmental impact and work towards a more sustainable approach. Sustainability Venue Highlights
We are very proud of our Sussex Venue, the West Worthing Club, who received the award ‘Protect Where You Play’ at the recent LTA National awards. You can read more about their story HERE.
The LTA have also put together a dedicated Sustainability Highlights Page showcasing practical, achievable actions clubs are already taking to protect and enhance their local environments. Read about these by clicking the link below.
The LTA are also keen to hear from venues about their own sustainability highlights, and you can submit these by using the button at the bottom of the Sustainability Highlights Page. If you have your own Sustainability highlights to share for your venue, please do submit these to the LTA as its great to hear and share examples of the fantastic work that is already being done within our clubs on Sustainability.
LTA Pledgeball
TA Pledgeball Leagues are back for 2026
The LTA Pledgeball League returns for its fourth year in 2026, encouraging your members to pledge their help to protect the environment and for the chance to win exciting prizes. This runs from 1st June until 30th September.
What is Pledgeball?
Pledgeball is a research-backed charity that helps sports communities take simple, everyday climate-friendly actions.
Your members make eco‑pledges on behalf of your club, boosting your club’s total carbon savings and climbing the LTA Pledgeball League Table.
Each month, the top three venues will win sustainability grants:
- 1st Place: £250
- 2nd Place: £150
- 3rd Place: £100
Plus: Everyone who makes a pledge is entered into a draw to win tickets to the HSBC Championships at The Queen’s Club for the 2027 season.
