We have some very exciting courses taking place during Eastbourne Open Week for coaches, including discounted Tennis and Padel CPD, an FREE Activator Training Course, and two FREE Tennis Leaders Courses. Tennis Coach CPD
Title – Drills for High Quality Warmups
Tutor – Tom Carlton
Venue – David Lloyd Eastbourne
Date – Monday 22nd June
Time – 9-12pm
Price – £30
Description:
This workshop will be on court from 9-11am. It will provide coaches with lots of great ideas and drills to deliver fun, effective warmups in their sessions. There will also be an off-court networking session from 11-12pm. Coaches who attend will be given a complementary ground pass to Eastbourne International for the same day. Points towards the LTA Accreditation Scheme can be applied for via Independent Learning.
Padel CPD
Title – Intro to Padel Coaching
Tutor – Tom Carlton
Venue – Padel4All Eastbourne
Date – Tuesday 23rd June
Time – 8-1pm

Description:
This course will provide Coaches with some elementary knowledge and skills to offer basic Padel coaching to their repertoire. The learning outcomes for this course are:
• Understand game situations and court positioning for Padel and how to teach them
• Learn some basic ways of teaching players how to use the back glass
• Understand and practice how coaching skills differ from tennis coaching to Padel coaching, including feeding
• Learn and play some games to take back to your venue and use with your players
This course will provide coaches 5 points towards their LTA Accreditation Scheme. This course is being delivered in partnership with Tennis Sussex and the LTA Major Events Team. Coaches attending this course will be given a Complementary Ground Pass for the Eastbourne International Tournament.
Activator Training Course
Date: Thursday 25th June
Time: 10am-1pm
Venue: Old Town Hub, Eastbourne
This brand new 3-hour Face to Face Activator Training Course has been developed to introduce the skills required to deliver fun, safe and inclusive tennis or padel sessions. You’ll learn how to create positive first experiences that keep people engaged, use simple starter activities to get players active, and understand the LTA vision and the role of an Activator. The course is free and all attendees will receive a Grounds Pass ticket for the Eastbourne Major Event on Thursday 25th June.

Description
LTA Youth Tennis Leaders is our exciting leadership programme for young people aged 11 to 18. The programme provides young people, whatever their tennis ability, with the opportunity to gain invaluable leadership skills both on and off court. For this course Leaders will take part in Core Training. This course will take place on the grounds of Devonshire Park during the Finals Day of the Eastbourne International tournament. Participants will have a chance to win a pair of tickets for the final on the same day! Your contact email will be shared with the LTA so they can organise access to the grounds for you.

Description:
LTA Youth Tennis Leaders is our exciting leadership programme for young people aged 11 to 18. The programme provides young people, whatever their tennis ability, with the opportunity to gain invaluable leadership skills both on and off court. For this course Leaders will take part in Core Training. This course will take place on the grounds of Devonshire Park during the Community Day after the Eastbourne International. We ask that participants are available for the afternoon as well if possible to stay and help further in the Community Day. Participants will be put into a draw to win tickets for the final taking place on Saturday 27th June!
